SUPER YUMMY FRUIT CRUMBLE


With an oaty crumble topping
Crumble topping with oats
Crumble topping:
130g Wholemeal self-raising flour
10g Dark brown sugar
10g Light brown sugar
55g Butter
70g Rolled porridge oats

Fruit:
Apple crumble recipe Towpath apples (if none available you can try the shops)
Other towpath fruits can be added when available, ie blackberries or damsons

Pre-heat the oven gas mark 4.

Wash, chop and stew the fruit. Add dark brown sugar to taste. (If you use eating apples you won't need to add any sugar).

Rub the butter in to the flour until you have a light, crumbly texture. Add the sugar and the porridge oats and stir in well. Put the HOT fruit into an oven proof dish and spread the crumble mixture on top. (It has to be hot or your crumble will go soggy). Bake in the oven at gas mark 4 for 15-20 minutes until golden brown.

Serve with hot custard, ice-cream, cream fraiche or cream. Baddie
