HOME (is where the boat is)
I'm currently moored on the Leeds and Liverpool canal. If you're in this area and would like to see the SMD/LEDs please contact me. I'll bring the 12v lead lamp arrangement which plugs into a cigarette lighter socket, and show you the effect you would get in-situ on your own boat . Alternatively check my diary to see if I'm going to be in your area, or at a boat festival you are going to.
A bit about Baddie the Pirate
I took to the water as a liveaboard narrowboater about 5 years ago.
I can thoroughly recommend it, though I realise it wouldn't suit everyone. I was a backpacker in my younger days, and this is really a grown up version of that. Nothing beats waking up in the morning with the sun streaming in, and when you look out of the porthole a family of swans are swimming past. Of course it's not always like that. There are challenges (such as leaks and getting out of bed when you have the flu to make sure the fire has been stoked).
Why the name? I fly a jolly roger at the front of the boat. It's not a fashion accessory, it tells me what the wind direction is 50ft ahead of me. Useful info when you're steering.
I also make mosaics, play folk music (whistle and melodeon) and like knitting.
Pretty good for a Baddie really.
